Knock-Out Drums, also known as Scrubbers or Separators, offer an effective solution for separating liquid particles or vapor mist from a gas stream. At the core of these separators is a vane bundle that uses a combination of centrifugal force, impingement, and gravity. As the gas-liquid mixture enters the vane separator, it is forced to change direction multiple times. The heavier liquid particles are unable to follow the rapid changes in direction and are thrown against the vane walls, while the lighter gas easily navigates the path. This process efficiently separates the high-density liquid from the low-density gas.
Our Dry Gas Filters are multi-stage systems designed for maximum solid and liquid removal. The initial stage uses gravitational and centrifugal forces to remove large particles. For systems with high solid or liquid loads, additional internals like multitude cyclones can be installed to handle the bulk removal and extend the life of the coalescing elements.
